Terms of Service

Last Updated: May 1, 2026

Welcome to Pantry & Plate. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Pantry & Plate mobile application, website, services, features, subscriptions, and related content (collectively, the “Service”).

The Service is operated by Pantry and Plate LLC (“Pantry & Plate,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By creating an account, accessing the app, starting a free trial, purchasing a subscription, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What Pantry & Plate Does

Pantry & Plate helps users organize meals, recipes, pantry items, and shopping lists. The Service may include features such as meal planning, pantry tracking, recipe organization, ingredient review, shopping list generation, subscription management, and related tools.

Pantry & Plate is intended to help with household organization and meal planning. It is not a medical, nutritional, dietary, allergy, financial, or professional advice service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

By using the Service, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms and that your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws.

3. Account Registration and Security

You may need to create an account to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep your account information updated.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us promptly at:

support@pantryandplate.app

We are not responsible for losses caused by unauthorized use of your account unless caused by our own failure to follow applicable legal obligations.

4. Subscription Required for Full Access

Pantry & Plate is a subscription-based app. Full access to the Service requires an active subscription.

We may offer a free trial, such as a 7-day free trial, to eligible users. Trial availability, duration, pricing, renewal terms, and eligibility may vary by platform, country, offer, account history, and app store rules.

At the end of a free trial, your subscription will automatically renew and your payment method will be charged unless you cancel before the renewal deadline required by the app store or payment provider.

Current subscription options may include:

  • Monthly subscription
  • Annual subscription

The exact price, billing period, renewal terms, and trial details will be shown in the app and in the applicable app store purchase flow before you confirm purchase.

5. Billing, Renewal, Cancellation, and Refunds

Subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or another authorized payment provider, depending on where you downloaded or accessed the app.

Your subscription is billed by the applicable app store or payment provider, not directly by Pantry & Plate. We do not receive or store your full payment card information.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled according to the applicable app store’s rules. Deleting the app or deleting your Pantry & Plate account does not automatically cancel your subscription.

To cancel or manage your subscription, use the subscription management tools provided by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Refunds, if available, are handled by the applicable app store or payment provider. Pantry & Plate cannot guarantee refunds and may not be able to issue refunds directly for purchases made through Apple or Google.

6. Restore Purchases

The app includes a restore purchases function where required by platform rules. Restore functionality is intended to help legitimate subscribers regain access after reinstalling the app, changing devices, or signing back in.

Subscription access is determined by the applicable app store, RevenueCat, and your Pantry & Plate account status. We may use third-party subscription infrastructure to validate and manage subscription access.

7. User Content and Public Recipe Contributions

You may enter, upload, save, create, import, or generate content through the Service, including pantry items, recipes, meal plans, shopping lists, photos, preferences, notes, ratings, comments, and related information (“User Content”).

You retain ownership of your User Content, subject to the licenses granted in these Terms.

7.1 Private User Content

Private User Content includes content that you save for your own account and do not choose to publish or share publicly, such as private recipes, pantry items, meal plans, shopping lists, household notes, and private photos.

For Private User Content, you grant Pantry & Plate a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, process, display, reproduce, and use that content solely as needed to operate, maintain, secure, improve, and provide the Service to you.

We will not intentionally publish your Private User Content as public content unless you choose to share or publish it through a feature of the Service.

7.2 Public Recipe Contributions

The Service may allow you to submit, publish, share, or otherwise make recipes or related content available to other users or to the public (“Public Recipe Contributions”).

Public Recipe Contributions may include recipe titles, ingredient lists, preparation steps, cooking notes, descriptions, photos, tags, categories, ratings, comments, serving information, timing information, and other related recipe content.

By submitting or publishing a Public Recipe Contribution, you grant Pantry & Plate a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, display, publish, distribute, modify, adapt, excerpt, translate, create derivative works from, promote, commercialize, and otherwise use the Public Recipe Contribution in connection with the Service and Pantry & Plate’s business.

This license allows Pantry & Plate to use Public Recipe Contributions to build, operate, improve, promote, and maintain public recipe libraries, recipe recommendations, meal planning features, shopping list features, search features, editorial collections, marketing materials, and other related product features.

You understand that Public Recipe Contributions may remain available in the Service even if you delete your account, cancel your subscription, or stop using the Service, unless we choose to remove them or are legally required to remove them.

7.3 Attribution

We may, but are not required to, display your name, username, profile information, or other attribution in connection with Public Recipe Contributions. We may also remove or modify attribution for product, safety, privacy, moderation, legal, or operational reasons.

7.4 Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for your User Content and Public Recipe Contributions.

You represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have the necessary rights to submit, save, upload, publish, or share the content;
  • Your content does not infringe any copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights of any third party;
  • Your content is not unlawful, misleading, harmful, abusive, obscene, defamatory, or otherwise inappropriate;
  • You will not publish recipes, photos, text, or other content copied from third parties unless you have the right to do so;
  • Any recipe, ingredient, nutrition, allergy, or food safety information you provide is not intentionally false or misleading.

7.5 Imported or Third-Party Recipes

The Service may allow you to save, import, organize, or reference recipes from third-party websites, books, creators, or other sources.

You may use imported recipes for personal organization where permitted by law and applicable third-party terms. You may not publish, share, or submit imported third-party recipe content as a Public Recipe Contribution unless you have the necessary rights or permission to do so.

Pantry & Plate may remove or restrict recipe content if we believe it violates these Terms, third-party rights, applicable law, or platform policies.

7.6 Moderation and Removal

We may review, moderate, edit, remove, restrict, or refuse to publish User Content or Public Recipe Contributions at any time, with or without notice, if we believe the content violates these Terms, creates legal or safety risk, infringes third-party rights, or is otherwise inappropriate for the Service.

We may provide tools for users to report public content that they believe is inappropriate, inaccurate, infringing, unsafe, or otherwise objectionable.

8. Recipe, Ingredient, Allergy, and Food Safety Disclaimer

Pantry & Plate may display, organize, import, link to, or generate recipes, ingredients, pantry suggestions, shopping lists, and meal planning information. This information is provided for convenience only.

You are solely responsible for:

  • Verifying ingredients and quantities
  • Checking food labels
  • Managing allergies, intolerances, and dietary restrictions
  • Following safe food handling and cooking practices
  • Confirming nutritional suitability
  • Ensuring food is properly stored, prepared, and cooked

Pantry & Plate does not guarantee that recipes, ingredients, product suggestions, or shopping lists are accurate, complete, safe, allergen-free, or suitable for your health needs.

If you have allergies, medical conditions, dietary restrictions, or health concerns, consult a qualified professional and verify all ingredients independently.

9. Third-Party Content and Services

The Service may reference, import, link to, or interact with third-party content, tools, websites, services, recipe sources, grocery services, payment platforms, analytics tools, authentication providers, or subscription infrastructure.

We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their content, policies, availability, accuracy, or practices. Your use of third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

The inclusion of third-party content or links does not imply endorsement.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes
  • Attempt to access another user’s account
  • Reverse engineer, copy, modify, or exploit the Service
  • Interfere with the security or operation of the Service
  • Upload malicious code or harmful content
  • Use automated scraping, bots, or unauthorized data extraction
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
  • Use the Service in a way that violates applicable law or third-party rights

We may suspend or terminate access if we believe your use violates these Terms or creates risk for Pantry & Plate, users, or third parties.

11. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, artwork, user interface, icons, text, graphics, and other materials, is owned by Pantry and Plate LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of the Service or our intellectual property to you.

You may not copy, distribute, modify, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the Service except as permitted by law or with our written permission.

12. License to Use the App

Subject to these Terms and your active subscription status, Pantry & Plate grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for your personal, household, non-commercial use.

You may not use the Service for commercial resale, data extraction, or to build a competing product without our written permission.

13. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at:

https://pantryandplate.app/privacy.html

The Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have reviewed the Privacy Policy.

14. Account Deletion

You may request or initiate account deletion through the app where available. Account deletion may remove or disable access to your Pantry & Plate account and associated private account data.

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription purchased through Apple, Google, or another payment provider. You must cancel your subscription through the applicable app store or payment provider.

Public Recipe Contributions may remain available after account deletion, cancellation, or discontinued use unless Pantry & Plate chooses to remove them or is legally required to remove them.

Some information may be retained as required by law, fraud prevention, accounting, dispute resolution, security, or legitimate business purposes.

15. Service Availability and Changes

We may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time. We may also add, remove, or change features as the app evolves.

We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We are not liable for outages, delays, data loss, or interruptions outside our reasonable control.

16. Beta, TestFlight, Internal Testing, and Pre-Release Features

If you access the Service through beta testing, TestFlight, internal testing, closed testing, or another pre-release channel, you understand that the app may contain bugs, incomplete features, or unstable behavior.

Pre-release versions are provided for testing and feedback and may change before public release.

17. Feedback

If you send us suggestions, ideas, comments, bug reports, or other feedback, you grant Pantry & Plate the right to use that feedback without restriction or compensation to you.

We may use feedback to improve the Service, develop features, fix bugs, or update our roadmap.

18. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pantry & Plate disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and reliability.

We do not guarantee that:

  • The Service will meet your expectations
  • Meal plans, recipes, pantry suggestions, or shopping lists will be accurate or complete
  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Any stored data will always be available
  • The Service will be suitable for medical, dietary, allergy, or nutritional purposes

19. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pantry & Plate and its owners, employees, contractors, affiliates, service providers, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, loss of goodwill, personal injury, or other intangible losses.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the greater of:

  1. The amount you paid to use the Service during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim; or
  2. Fifty U.S. dollars ($50).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.

20. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Pantry & Plate and its owners, employees, contractors, affiliates, service providers, and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your User Content
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of applicable law
  • Your violation of third-party rights

21. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk, misused the Service, or if we are required to do so by law.

Termination does not automatically cancel subscriptions purchased through Apple, Google, or another payment provider. You remain responsible for canceling any active subscription through the applicable app store.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law, and dispute provisions.

22. Apple App Store Additional Terms

If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, the following terms also apply:

  • These Terms are between you and Pantry and Plate LLC, not Apple.
  • Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
  • If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any, according to Apple’s policies.
  • Apple is not responsible for claims relating to the app, including product liability claims, legal compliance claims, or consumer protection claims.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce these Terms against you.

Your use of the app must also comply with the Apple Media Services Terms and any applicable App Store rules.

23. Google Play Additional Terms

If you downloaded the app from Google Play, your purchase, subscription, cancellation, refund, and payment rights may also be governed by Google Play’s terms and policies.

Google may process payments, manage subscription renewals, handle cancellation workflows, and determine refund eligibility under its own policies.

Your use of the app must also comply with Google Play’s applicable terms.

24. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify you by updating the “Last Updated” date, posting notice in the app, sending an email, or using another reasonable method.

Your continued use of the Service after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

25. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

If a dispute arises, you agree to first contact us at support@pantryandplate.app so we can attempt to resolve the issue informally.
