How to Submit a Copyright Complaint

To help us process your notice, please include the following information:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on the copyright owner’s behalf.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
  3. Identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient for Pantry and Plate to locate the material, such as the Pantry and Plate recipe URL or page URL.
  4. Your contact information, including your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, the copyright owner’s agent, or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Counter-Notices

If content you posted on Pantry and Plate was removed or disabled because of a copyright complaint and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to dmca@pantryandplate.app. Your counter-notice should include the information required by the DMCA. Pantry and Plate may forward your counter-notice to the original complainant as part of the DMCA process.

Repeat Infringer Policy

Pantry and Plate may suspend or terminate accounts of users who repeatedly upload, publish, or share content that infringes copyright or other intellectual property rights. Pantry and Plate may also remove or disable access to content in response to valid copyright complaints or other appropriate reports.

Imported Recipes and Attribution

Imported recipes are private by default. Users may publish recipes they created, have permission to share, or have rewritten in their own words using functional cooking instructions. Users may not publish copied creator commentary, blog text, photos, videos, graphics, or other protected content from another source. Attribution is required for imported recipes but does not replace permission.

If a public recipe is adapted from another source, Pantry and Plate may display attribution and a link to the original source.
